The detection of trace elements within gem stones as the individual fingerprint has a long tradition. As an important gemmological tool the spectroscope optical system has been developed in many different ways of design and construction.

In the early days affordable light sources for gem testers had only poor light intensity. Our powerful cold light illuminator base GEMMODUL M9/100 with fibre optic light guides isfirst class state of the art technology and was designed to support most spectroscope types available.

• Double arm pivot joint. One arm for spectroscope optical system, one for the flexible light guide. Independently movable.
• Large 7mm active diameter of flexible fibre optics light guide for intense reflected light mode. Solid 7mm rod type light guide for transmitted light mode.
• Extra wavelength scale illuminator light.
• Rigid design and quality of mechanics to align optics and fibre optics light guide to the gemstone.
• Adapter for most spectroscope optics and for older types of lower power to update / upgrade the lighting.
